Join the President, Chris Howard on an easy, flat 3.2km (2 mile) circular walk around Newlands Corner, followed by refreshments at Newlands Corner café.
Newlands Corner has some of the best views in the Surrey Hills.
Best known as the place where crime writer, Agatha Christie mysteriously disappeared – being discovered several weeks later in a spa hotel in Yorkshire. Newlands Corner is a 103-hectare (250-acre) nature reserve owned by the Albury Estate.
Newlands Corner is also famous for its ancient yew woodlands and is one of the most visited viewpoints in the south of England. Our walk will commence from the far end of the public car park at Newlands Corner.
While our fitter colleagues attempt the longer walk with our Chairman, the President will lead a leisurely flat, one hour walk around the area pointing out some of the lesser known facts about the area.
We will then enjoy a social refreshment break at the café.
This walk is rated as easy
Dogs on leads are welcome.
