Surrey Day 2026, the eighth annual celebration of our wonderful county, brings communities together across towns, villages and attractions to celebrate everything that makes Surrey such a special place to live, work and visit.
Led by partners Visit Surrey, Surrey’s official tourist board, BBC Radio Surrey and The Surrey Lieutenancy, Surrey Day showcases our county’s rich heritage, vibrant culture and inspiring people.
The theme of Surrey Day 2026, is Going Underground and uncovering Surrey’s Hidden Treasures – delving into the wonderful places to visit both above and below ground and the layers of soil, rock, and history that support and shape Surrey.
As part of these celebrations the Surrey Hills Society’s Lead Ranger Sam Jones is joining the Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum on Saturday 9th May at the United Reform Church in Woking for a fun and heartwarming celebration of the diversity, culture, heritage and natural beauty of Surrey.
Sam will be joining a panel of brilliant speakers at the event. He will be discussing why getting out in nature and supporting nature is so important to our wellbeing, and the work of the Surrey Hills Society in helping under-served communities to access the Surrey Hills.
