Join our Vice President Chris Howard, on this visit to Surrey Wildlife Trust’s new Nower Wood building and private Nature Reserve in Leatherhead. This modern facility replaced the out-dated, leaking wooden huts from the 1970s, which the Surrey Hills Society visited in 2015. The building and surrounding countryside is now much more accessible for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Nestling in the south-west corner of the Surrey Hills, Ramster Gardens are truly a hidden gem. The gardens include mature trees as well as wonderful rhododendron and azalea displays. Spring brings carpets of bluebells and everything has that wonderful fresh green of newly opened leaves.
