Explore Reigate – free walk of the month

RH2 7AN (next to Priory Park)

Reigate is a town with quite a history and lots of hidden corners behind the High Street which we will be exploring, including Reigate Castle. We will mainly walk around the town and finish back in Priory Park where there is the option to extend the walk independently in a large open space.

Being a winter walk, it is planned to be mainly on paved surfaces.

We class this walk as Easy in view of the length, but there are two flights of steps – one up, which is well structured, and the second down which is steep and a bit uneven.

You will need suitable footwear with non-slip soles and be adequately clothed for the prevailing weather conditions.

There is a café in the park, and many options in the town for refreshments after the walk, although we are going to leave it to individuals to make their own choice as there is nowhere of a sufficient size to accommodate the whole party.

Well behaved dogs welcome on leads.

Children would be welcome but this event is not designed as a children’s event and it could be difficult for a pushchair or wheelchair.
