This is our member’s opportunity to meet all our Trustees and hear about the work of the Society during the past year.
The morning will begin at 10.15am with light refreshments of tea or coffee with the formal business of the Annual General Meeting starting at 11.00am. Details of the AGM can be found here.
Prior to the start of the AGM we will be delighted to welcome the Farnham Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Earwaker, and Iain Lynch, Farnham’s Town Clerk as our guests.
The AGM will be chaired by our President, Chris Howard and our Chairman of Trustees, Gordon Jackson will present the Trustees’ report for the period from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023. Our Treasurer, Martin Cantor, will present our Annual Accounts for the same period and our Project and Volunteer Coordinator will update us on the Society’s extensive volunteering programme. At the AGM Stella Cantor will be retiring as a Trustee and the Trustees are proposing that three new members be appointed. Gordon Jackson and Peter Salisbury are due to retire by rotation and offer themselves for re-election.
Staying in the Redgrave Suite we will have a talk on the history of Farnham and its craft heritage by Iain Lynch. Farnham was awarded World City of Craft in 2020 and Farnham Craft Festival takes place in October.
There are over 100 craft related activities taking place across Farnham, nearly half of which are free.

Following the AGM and the talk there will be an optional oriental buffet lunch with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available.

After lunch at around 2.15pm there will then be an opportunity for members and their guests to enjoy some of the afternoon exploring Farnham on a short guided walk by expert town guides.
Dogs on leads are welcome on the walk after lunch but not before please

This event is not designed for children but is suitable for anyone with mobility challenges – however you may choose not to join the guided walk in the afternoon.
