6th July 2025, 10:30 - 13:00
Join SHS Trustee, Peter Salisbury and President, Chris Howard on this interesting 5 mile walk to discover some of the history surrounding Redhill and Earlswood Commons.
This walk takes you through surprising rural areas of Redhill where you will enjoy discovering some pretty historic cottages, some spectacular views and learn a little bit of history of the area from Peter Salisbury, who was born and bred in the area.
At the half way point we will enjoy a short refreshment/toilet break at a café by a lake. (at your own cost).
This walk is classed as moderate as it has some steep inclines but we will take them slowly. You will need to be a reasonably fit walker.
You will need stout footwear and need to think about whether you can manage the route comfortably. We suggest it’s a good idea to bring water with you especially if it’s a really hot day.
The walk and refreshment break will take about 2 ½ hours.
Afterwards there are plenty of pubs in the area to book for lunch but we do recommend booking in advance. Alternatively take some time to explore Redhill or Reigate town centres.
Obedient dogs are welcome.
The cost is free but you must book your ticket by pressing the brown button below.
