This garden near Bletchingley has breathtaking views in an arc of 180 degrees to the South Downs. It is open under the National Gardens Scheme but we have organised a private visit.
The garden was originally planted in the 1920’s but has been adapted and enhanced over the years. The owner, Mr Tony Elias, largely tends the garden himself with some occasional help.
There are several mature trees and shrubs including a copper beech, a Canadian maple and shrubs such as magnolias and azaleas all arranged on a bank overlooking the magnificent view.
Mr Elias will give us a brief introduction about the house and the garden and then you will be free to wander through the gravel paths and to enjoy the view.
This event is accessible for members with mobility challenges but please note that the garden is on a steep bank with paths through it.
The terrace is easily accessed from where you can take advantage of the magnificent views.
There is parking at the house.
Cost to Members: £10
Cost to Non-members: £12
Included in the cost will be a cup of tea or coffee and a sweet treat which will be served on the terrace. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking your ticket.
The cost also includes a donation to the National Gardens Scheme charities.
