Following last year’s highly successful walk we are again discovering our native woodland birds by experiencing the Morning Chorus that is such a special feature of Spring.
We are delighted to be rejoined by Mike Waite, who is one of Surrey Wildlife Trust’s most experienced ecologists.
The walk will take about two and a half hours through the beautiful Shere Woodlands. This enchanting area is truly magical and there is a very special atmosphere in the wooded glades that make up this private estate.
The woodlands abound with wildlife and with Mike’s expertise we hope to spot some well-known favourites as well as some of our rarer species.
The walk will be at a leisurely pace along well made paths but there may be some uneven ground and some slopes.
This walk is classed as an easy walk.
This event is not suitable for dogs or those with mobility challenges.
We suggest you bring binoculars and wear suitable clothing and footwear. With the amount of rain lately, it is likely to be quite muddy.
Cost to members £6.00 and £10.00 for non members which includes a quick tea/coffee before departure.
Deadline for booking 9 May 2024
