Walk between the two B’s – Brockham to Betchworth

Start: 10.30 for an 11am start
Finish: 1.00 pm

 

 

We will assemble on picturesque Brockham Green for a pleasurable walk along one side of the river as far as Betchworth.

Here you can visit St Michael’s Church which is noted for its appearance in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral but actually has a much longer and more distinguished history.

This part of the walk will be along the ridge with beautiful views across the river to the North Downs. The route back comes much closer along the river and ends on Brockham Green again.

They will already be building the bonfire on the green for the annual Brockham Bonfire – quite an event and fascinating to see how they create the fire.

There are two pubs on Brockham Green and a café. One is the Grumpy Mole which is known for its food and the other is the Royal Oak. If you anticipate wanting to have lunch, you would be well advised to book in advance.

Please wear strong footwear and clothing suitable for the prevailing weather conditions.  ThIs event is not suitable for pushchairs or those with mobility challenges.

Obedient dogs on leads are welcome.
