Wednesday 4 October 2023

2.30pm – 4.30pm

Simon has worked extensively with the Reigate Heath Conservation Volunteers and is an expert on the area.

He will talk about why Reigate Heath is important, its wildlife, its past and future. It is one of our most heavily protected sites, yet still has issues that are pertinent throughout the Surrey Hills.

We have a new Council Management Plan for the site, the SSSI designation has been extended, and the Surrey Hills AONB boundary review looks like it will now include the Reigate Heath area. Come along and find out more!

Tea/coffee and cake will be served included in the price.  If you do have any dietary requirements please note these in the comments box.

The cost includes a donation to Reigate Heath Conservation Volunteers.

ThIs event is suitable for those with mobility challenges.

No dogs are allowed in the hall.

Deadline for booking 2 October 2023.

NB. On Wednesday 11th October, Simon will lead us on a walk to see the Heath itself and some of the features which he will have covered in his talk.  This is a separate event and you may book by clicking here and completing your booking as usual.
