Godstone Caves

An adventurous trip into the old mine known as

Godstone Caves.

10am – 1pm

 

 

The volunteers of the Wealden Caves and Mine Society have kindly agreed to take a group into the old mine at Godstone.

At the entrance, you need to drop down into the cave. It is extremely interesting but you do need to have a good level of fitness to undertake the tour.

We will assemble at 10am to get kitted out and briefed before entering the mine. The tour takes approximately 2 hours so we should be out by about 12.30.

It is essential to wear clothes you don’t mind spoiling and we recommend long trousers. Strong footwear with gripping soles would be best. You will be provided with a helmet.

This event is not for those with mobility issues.

No dogs are allowed.
