This walk goes from Artington through the Loseley Estate with views of the house, to Watts Gallery with stop for refreshments, and returns along the North Downs Way.

A fairly flat and easy walk along some narrow paths passing Mount Browne police HQ and the Tudor Manor of Loseley owned by the More-Molyneux family for over 500 years. Then continuing to the Watts Gallery famous for the George Watts RA collection of paintings considered to be the greatest painter of the Victorian era, and his wife Mary a gifted potter and sculptor responsible for the creation of the nearby terracotta mausoleum in Crompton.

After a stop for refreshments, we will then join the North Downs Way returning to Artington via the Way navigational canal

Please note: The walk can be muddy in places especially near the Loseley Estate which can get very boggy if there has been a lot of rain. There are a few gates on this walk and some of the paths may be narrow and overgrown in places. Most of the walk will be off-road. Waterproof boots are recommended and weather appropriate clothing plus sunscreen lotion if required

There will be a refreshment stop at Watts Gallery where you may purchase drinks at your own cost.
