14th May 2023, 08:00 - 10:30
Although International Dawn Chorus Day is a week earlier on 7 May, this walk is designed to highlight our native woodland birds and to experience the Dawn Chorus that is such a special feature of Spring.
We are delighted to be able to invite you to join Mike Waite, who is one of Surrey Wildlife Trust’s most experienced ecologists, on a walk of about two and a half hours through the beautiful Shere Woodlands. This enchanting area is truly magical and there is a very special atmosphere in the wooded glades that make up this private estate.
The woodlands abound with wildlife and with Mike’s expertise we hope to spot some well-known favourites as well as some of our rarer species.
The walk will be at a leisurely pace along well made paths but there may be some uneven ground and some slopes.
This walk is classed as an easy walk.
This event is not suitable for dogs or those with mobility challenges.
Cost to members £6.00 and £10.00 for non members which includes a quick tea/coffee before departure.
Deadline for booking 7 May 2023
