Guildford Walkfest launch and walk around Albury

Time: 10.30 until 1pm 

 

 

Led by the Surrey Hills Society, this event marks the start of Guildford Walkfest, a month-long festival of walks showcasing the best of the local area.

Join us for free refreshments, kindly sponsored by Bridgit at Signpost Financials and with the owner of Mandira’s Kitchen, Mandira herself, along with representatives from various walking groups across the area for the launch of this month-long walking festival. Those that are keen to walk will set off on an (optional) walk up to Albury Heath and then back down into the picturesque village of Shere, before our return journey back to the beautiful Silent Pool. You may also wish to just walk down to Silent Pool and enjoy the view, or go to Silent Pool Gin for a sample of their gin products, while we are out walking and then join us for lunch. Learn a little bit more about the local area and discover the range of local foods being produced in this little village, just outside Guildford.

This event is not suitable for children.
Dogs are welcome on the lead.
The launch is accessible for those with mobility issues, but the walk is not.

  The walk is just over 4 miles.

This is a free event (excluding lunch) and booking is essential and will close on Sunday 30th August at 1pm.
