Looking for a day of family fun during half term?  Why not come and join us at Cross Farm, near Shackleford for some conservation activities!

We are delighted to host our first Family Conservation Day in collaboration with Angus Stovold, fifth generation farmer and a great example of showing how nature and farming can work together.

Over the course of the day, you will be able to join in a wide variety of nature-related and conservation activities run by various conservation organisations such as, Surrey Wildlife Trust, Butterfly Conservation and Bug Life to name a few!

Learn about the creatures that call this area home and explore the farm with a ride on Angus’s tractor.

 

Sessions will run for 20-40 minutes, and you will be free to circulate the activities as you wish.

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided but please bring a packed lunch which you are welcome to enjoy on the farm.

There are toilets on site as well as an indoor area for activities should it be heavily raining on the day.

 

Arrival is from 10am but you are welcome to arrive when you like and join in a session. An approximate timetable will be shared with you once you have booked your place.

The day is targeted at children aged 5-14 but everybody is welcome. Children aged 16 and under must be always accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and for being outside in farm fields.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Please be aware that accessibility is limited on site, including uneven ground and steep gradients.
