We invite you to join our Chairman, Gordon Jackson to make your own gin at Wessex Distillery, a Surrey Hills Enterprises member.

Wessex Distillery, is a family owned craft distillery which began in 2017, although the family have been in the gin making business for years. Based in Wormley their premium ingredients are straight from the English countryside and distilled in their copper distillery. Their gins have won many awards already, and are considered among the best English gins available.

The Society has been offered the opportunity for members to participate in Wessex Distillery’s gin making experience, which features a tour of the gin distillery followed by their gin lab activity where members can use the distillery’s copper gin still to make their own gin recipe and take their bottle of gin home!

A trip to the Wessex Distillery is an enjoyable, immersive, gin-filled event, suitable for beginners and gin enthusiasts. The distillery is COVID-19 compliant by following the government’s advice to ensure participants’ safety and comfort. The complete gin making experience lasts 2 hours.

The cost is £55 per person.  The price, which is substantially discounted, from the normal experience includes:

• A G&T on arrival
• A comprehensive tour of the distillery
• A guided gin lab experience
• Gin sampling/tasting to understand flavour profiles
• Learn the history of gin and get expert knowledge of botanicals and distillation
• Learn about Wessex Distillery and the history of the area
• A personalised bottle of your own gin recipe

This event is not suitable for children or dogs or wheelchair users.  Toilets are on site but please note they are upstairs.
