Explore Manor Farm, Wotton and the lower slopes of the North Downs

4th September 2022, 11:00 - 13:15

Free guided walk
Sunday 4 September 2022
at 10.30 am for a prompt 11am start
Approx finish at 1.15pm

Join our Chairman, Gordon Jackson on a moderate 6 km (3.5 miles) walk through some scenic countryside with some stunning views beneath the North Downs Way.

Our circular walk will start at the Wotton Hatch pub and restaurant and take us across a section of Manor Farm and up to the lower slopes of the North Downs. The family run farm extends to approximately 3,000 acres over a distance of 20 miles but we will explore an area where the Society assisted with extensive hedge-planting last winter.

There will be a couple of moderately steep slopes and some stiles, but most of the walk is relatively flat along well defined paths. There are excellent views towards Dorking from the lower slope of the North Downs Way.

There is the option to eat afterwards at the Wotton Hatch. Participants will almost certainly need to book and should make their own arrangements. Pub website is
