Behind the scenes at Leatherhead Theatre

3rd October 2018, 14:15 - 16:15

We are lucky to be getting a guided tour around the whole of this fascinating Theatre including the stars dressing rooms. These walls have seen the likes of many famous actors including some of the American Movie Greats and our own home grown acting dynasties. The theatre has a wealth of history behind it.

Previously known as the Thorndike Theatre, it was designed by Roderick Ham within the shell of the disused 1930s Crescent Cinema, which opened in 1969. In 2018 it was voted the best theatre in Surrey and is now a grade II listed building of special architectural or historic interest.

After the tour we will be provided with a cream tea.

The price for the afternoon visit including the cream tea is £9.50/member and £11.00/non-member.

Booking is essential. If you would like to join us, you can book your place online at the bottom of the page OR complete and return the downloadable slip (in green below) to arrive at Warren Farm Barns by Monday 24th September. Please include your e-mail address or a stamped addressed envelope so you may be sent full details, directions and locations for the visit.
