Explore the Corner of Four Counties – free, guided walk

1st October 2017, 10:30 - 14:00

Discover the far east of Surrey, slightly out of the Surrey Hills AONB, on this lovely rural walk close to Lingfield and Dormansland.  Not far from the Kent border, with many views to the chalk ridge of the North Downs and High Weald AONB in East and West Sussex, this 6 mile walk takes you through tranquil countryside with stunning views.

The Surrey Hills Society will be walking this route on Sunday 1 October at 11am (meet 10.30am), with Diane Cooper from SCC’s Countryside team.  We will be walking at a steady pace, there are a few gradients and stiles to climb.  Well-behaved dogs welcome on a lead.  Bring refreshments with you, however we will stop at the Plough Inn on our return around 2pm, but please note they stop serving food at 3pm.

Meet us at the Plough Inn, Plough Road, Dormansland, RH7 6PS.  Grid ref: TQ406428. OS Map Explorer 147 serves the area. Bus route 231/233 stops in front of the pub. There is also plenty of parking on nearby roads, please park considerately.
