16th November 2024, 14:00 - 17:15
Mark Laird of Hazelhouse jewellery ran an event for the Society earlier this year in March which proved very popular and was extremely successful. Due to popular demand, we have booked him again and this time the workshop will have a Christmas theme.
Mark has a small studio in the north-west corner of Surrey. He will give a talk on glass fusion and explain the art of glass fusion.
He will provide all the materials including pre-cut glass so we will have the afternoon to make two glass items with a Christmas feel
It may be useful if you have some idea of what you would like to make so you can start designing straight away. How about a robin tea light, perhaps a Rudolph gift tag, or even an elf tree decoration?
These would also make lovely presents for family members/friends.
Tea/coffee and freshly made cake will be provided during the afternoon.
Mark will then take the pieces for firing and the finished glass should be available for collection the following week.
These will need to be picked up from Godalming and there will be dates made available for collection.
The cost will be £35 for members and £40 for non members.
This cost will include making two fused glass pieces and refreshments. Please let us know in the comments box when booking your ticket of any special dietary requirements.
This event is suitable for those with mobility issues.
No dogs allowed.
Deadline for booking 10 November 2024.
