21st September 2023, 14:30 - 16:00
For the launch of Walkfest 2022 we met at West Horsley Place Barn and then took a walk up onto the hills above Horsley. This year, we are meeting at the same place but going in the
opposite direction for a 3.5 mile, off-road, wander!
The courtyard outside the Barn is home to the Tiger Lily Bus Company coffee wagon. We recommend that you arrive early for this walk so that you have time for a relaxing drink before we head off to explore.
Our 2023 walk will give you a chance to enjoy the flat paths heading around the fields north of West Horsley Place and the woods linking East and West Horsley. Not only is there an absence
of hills but there are no stiles either!
Categorised as “Moderate” simply because of the distance.
Good walking shoes are recommended. Please bring rain coats if appropriate, wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water if it’s hot.
Please note that this walk is on the clay section of Horsley so can be sticky after heavy rain and slightly rutted during high summer. Consequently, it is unsuitable for pushchairs or those with mobility issues
Obedient dogs on leads are welcome.
