A Visit to the Surrey History Centre, Woking
Thursday March 14th 2024
2.00 – 4.00 pm

We are delighted to have arranged a visit to the Surrey History Centre which holds over a million manuscripts, maps, engravings and drawings recording Surrey’s history from the middle ages to the digital age and covers a large array of topics.

This event comprises an illustrated talk about the work of the History Centre and an opportunity to see a display of relevant documents in their searchroom.

In addition, the talk will be extended to include images of documents of interest to our particular organisation and we are promised some excellent items including on Gertrude Jekyll and the history of gardening in Surrey.

There will be a chance for questions and then the group will have the opportunity to go into the searchroom to see these archives.

Those with mobility challenges are welcome and please let us know when booking.

Sorry, no dogs please.

Cost to Members: £12.00
