Surrey Hills Society Volunteer Open Evening

Tues 24th May, 6-7:30pm
Zero Carbon, Guildford

Do you enjoy being outdoors and connecting with nature? Do you enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places?

On Tuesday 24th May, Surrey Hills Society is hosting a Volunteer Open Evening as an opportunity to find out more about volunteering in the Surrey Hills. Whether you are interested in conservation volunteering, assisting with shows or leading walks we would love it if you could join us!

Come and find out more about the Society, meet the team and explore volunteering opportunities available. All ages are welcome – there are lots of different opportunities available with differing levels of commitment.

Some examples include:

  • Leading and assisting with walks and events
  • Promoting the Society and the Surrey Hills at shows and events
  • Assisting with administration
  • Practical conservation
  • Conducting species surveys
  • Devising new walking routes
  • Adopting and monitoring promoted walking routes

The café at Zero Carbon will also be open and it is a great opportunity to explore this fantastic venue if   nothing else!

We hope to see you there.

Gordon Jackson (Chairman) and Christa Emmett (Project and Volunteer Coordinator)
