A 4 mile circular walk crossing the borough boundary around Wisley and taking in rivers, canals, heathland and glimpses of RHS Wisley Gardens.
This rural walk is surprisingly quiet, despite it being so close to the A3 and M25. With a mix of riverside paths, heathland and glimpses of RHS Wisley Gardens, this level route will introduce you to some of Surrey’s less well-known scenery and (possibly) wildlife.
The route is flat and most of it is off-road. Some paths and the heathland section can be soft after wet weather.
Good walking shoes are recommended and wearing long trousers at this time of year as there are lots of nettles and brambles. Please bring rain coats if appropriate, wear sunscreen and bring plently of water if it’s hot.
ThIs event is not suitable for children and/or pushchairs or those with mobility challenges.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Note: cattle are grazed on the heath so a short lead is essential.
Meeting point: Wisley Common car park – on right in Wisley Lane approx. 1km (0.6 miles) from A3 turning for RHS Wisley Gardens
Nearest postcode: GU23 6QD

The easiest access is by car but is also served by Stagecoach bus 715 between Guildford and Kingston. Hourly daytime service Monday to Saturday. Nearest stop: A3 lay-by for RHS Wisley Gardens.

Follow this until it reaches the RHS carpark and then continue on the pedestrian walkway right across the face of the main entrance and garden centre. Follow the signs to the far end of Carpark 3. At the end of the carpark, continue a short distance along the path to arrive at the carpark on the opposite side of the road. [Distance from bus stop is about 1km (0.6 miles)].
