An evening visit to Spurfold Garden, Peaslake
Wednesday 15 June 2022 at 6pm

Long term SHS members and volunteers Mark and Virginia Turner have arranged for our members, by kind permission of the owners Mr and Mrs Barnes, an exclusive evening visit to their garden at Spurfold. They open Spurfold garden by special appointment only, solely to raise funds for the National Gardens Scheme Charities.

After an introduction by Mr and Mrs Barnes there will be time to explore the garden. This will be followed by wine (or soft drink) and nibbles.

This wonderful mature garden extends to approximately 4 acres, with large herbaceous and shrub borders, formal pond with Buddha head from Cambodia, sunken gravel garden with topiary box beds and an Indian urn water feature. There are four terraces, beautiful lawns, mature rhododendrons and azaleas, winding woodland paths and two gazebos. The garden contains a unique collection of Indian elephants and other objets d’art.

Cost to Members £16

Cost to Non-Members £20

This includes a donation to Mr and Mrs Barnes’ favoured charity.

We regret this event is not suitable for young children or dogs.

Deadline for booking 10 June 2022.
